A Trip to the ER

We had to take or first trip to the emergency room last Monday. Gymnast loves riding her bike and has gotten very fast. Her wheel twisted and she flew over her handle bars and landed on her face on the asphalt road.

It happened about 6 o’clock in the evening. This picture was taken about 30 minutes after the accident. The swelling had actually gone down a little already. Given it looked so bad and it was close to bedtime Wes thought it best to get her checked out. My mother-in-law took the trip with me to Fairhope to the hospital. If Gymnast was going to need an x-ray, being pregnant, I was not going to be able to go in with her. She started perking up a bit when we got the hospital. After her cat scan while waiting on the doctor she was bouncing and climbing all over the bed. The doctor said the cat scan was clean and she would be fine for her gymnastics exhibition on Thursday. We and I slept much better knowing that she was fine. I hope this doesn’t start a trend. My little dare devil has no fear.
